Diffuse Environmental Education

Environmental education is education through, about and for environment and is a way of implementing the goals of environmental protection. It is not a separate branch of science or subject of study. It should be carried out according to the principle of lifelong integral education. Environmental education will not only open our eyes to the havoc we have wrought on ourselves in the form of by-products of the progress attained by us but it will also inform us as to how we can intertwine progress and life so that they exist together.

Environmental Education helps understand different food chains and the ecological balance in nature, appreciate how environment is used for making a living and for promoting material culture. It is with these thought in our mind, DEEKSHA would be starting the following educational courses From April 2009, to propagate the spread of environmental education in the country:

J Post Graduate Diploma in Environmental Education.

Duration - 1 Year.

J Certificate Course in Environmental Education.

Duration - 6 Months.

These educational programmes are being designed to benefit all existing and budding Teachers ie educators.

The fee structure is being kept at the barest minimum as the purpose of the initiative is to propagate environmental education.

Adequate number of examinations centers will be established to facilitate the candidates to take their exams.

Prospectus for the above courses is under preparation and will be ready for issue by 01 December 2008. Cost of the same will be Rs 150/- (Rupees One Hundred Fifty Only).
