If human society is to endure not for just another century but for thousands and thousands of years, we need to learn a way of life that could be sustained by Mother Earth. For this the basic attitude of people needs to change and there is a need to create mass realization amongst the people of our beloved country so as to have environmentally conscious citizens.

With the above as background, realizing that there is a growing need to educate the children about the importance of care, maintenance, protection and management of the environment, DEEKSHA was set up an environmental missionary, Mrs Tripat Parmar. She has worked tirelessly over the past years to give shape and direction to DEEKSHA, which has seen the NGO contribute effectively in environmental conservation and protection.

Behind every NGO are the essential values and ideologies on which the core edifice of the NGO grows. At “DEEKSHA”, these values are intricately woven in the fabric of its work ethics and the enthusiasm to provide environmentally sound solutions which is finely balanced with the responsibilities towards its immediate physical environment.

It is with this spirit of cooperation and the need of playing a vital role by “DEEKSHA” in educating the masses for preserving and conserving the environment and its related facets, that we at DEEKSHA have conceptualized and are implementing various projects through which we continue to sensitize the masses about the need to conserve and preserve the environment.

“DEEKSHA” is involved in conservation of environment, plantation activities, provision of herbal plants, development of herbal gardens, water harvesting, solid waste management and publication of a quarterly environmental magazine by the name of DEEKSHA - The Complete Environment Magazine.
